Welcome to

Teens Find Middle Ground

Mission

Teens Find Middle Ground seeks to promote empathy and understanding through political discussion among teenagers across the world. We aim to combat preconceived biases about the other side of the aisle by engaging in meaningful deliberation.

What We Do

  • Host bi-weekly Zoom discussions with teens of diverse backgrounds on pressing topics such as reproductive rights, gun control, and immigration in order to foster understanding across the aisle.

  • Turn discussions into a podcast called “Teens Find Middle Ground” (on Apple, Spotify, and Stitcher)  to demonstrate that our generation can work together and find middle ground instead of dismissing opposing viewpoints!

  • Enlist teens to write op-eds on controversial issues with left, right, and center viewpoints

Our Vision

  • We hope that our generation will not blindly follow their party’s platform but instead make their own decisions after careful deliberation about each issue.

  • We hope to prevent our generation from leading their lives with hasty assumptions and stereotypes, but rather with empathy for one another, regardless of political affiliation, geography, race, ethnicity, or sexual orientation.

  • We hope to affect a generation that will lead with a true understanding of one another that will result in lasting change.
